Elegant Past & Futuristic Vibes – A Dual Makeover Experience
Hello everyone,
This is Hatanaka from the makeup staff.
Today, I’d like to introduce a very beautiful customer who experienced two different styles on the same day.
Here are the styles she tried!
★Makeover Portrait 【UKIYO】
★Natural Portrait【Fashion Portrait】
The main differences between the Makeover Portrait and the Natural Portrait are the use of false eyelashes and whether or not wigs can be worn.
With the Makeover Portrait, you can choose either a wig or a styled version of your natural hair. False eyelashes can also be applied, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of makeup looks—from natural to dramatic, stage-style makeup. This plan is perfect for those who want to experience a bold transformation through makeup.
On the other hand, the Natural Portrait features a more subtle approach, using your natural hair and no false eyelashes. The makeup is kept light and natural, capturing your beauty just as you are. It’s a wonderful way to remember your trip with a look that feels authentic and true to yourself.
Now, let’s start with photos from the Makeover Portrait – “Ukiyo” style.
This beautiful guest looked absolutely stunning with her dreadlocks. For her hairstyle, she chose our most luxurious and popular style, the “Datehyogo Mage.”
When you have voluminous dreadlocks, it can be difficult to gather all the hair into an updo. In such cases, as shown in these photos, we offer a partially-down hairstyle instead.
This creates a more unique and mystical look, which we highly recommend!
If you’d like to leave some hair down in the back, please feel free to let your stylist know — we’ll be happy to accommodate your preference.
For her Uchikake, she chose a striking black base design with bold gold embroidery.
It perfectly complements her glamorous style!
We also offer many other Uchikake options in colors like pink, blue, white, red, purple, and more — choosing your kimono on the day is part of the fun!
Now, let’s take a look at her Fashion Portrait photos.
Absolutely stunning!!!
The Fashion Portrait session is done entirely with the guest’s own outfit.
She brought a super stylish cyberpunk-inspired bodysuit, so we took lots of photos using the neon backdrop of our “Neon Ruins” set.
The white eyeliner detail around her eyes was a special request from the guest herself — she clearly knows exactly what makeup suits her best!
Since the guest mentioned that she loves the cyberpunk-themed plan at our studio, we added the smoke effect option and adjusted the lighting so that soft pink and blue hues spread across the scene.
The smoke machine option is available for sessions in both the “Neon Ruins” and “Velvet Cocoa” sets.
If you’re looking to create a cool, edgy vibe or a soft, dreamy atmosphere, we highly recommend adding it to your session!
Whether you’re going for a bold transformation with dramatic makeup or a natural look that captures your true self, both styles are equally beautiful.
We look forward to welcoming you and helping you create unforgettable memories during your trip to Japan!
